Gray cast iron round bars are available in a variety of diameters, ranging from 0.625 inches to 26.560 inches. The cast bars are finished to their nominal dimensions. Additional allowances are included to compensate for out-of-roundness and normal defects on the cast surface. For applications with high tolerance requirements, we offer centerless grinding and turning services. The standard bar length is 72 inches, but we can provide sizes up to 144 inches.

Custom lengths of gray cast iron round bars can be supplied upon customer request. Our industry-leading automated sawing equipment can quickly and accurately cut raw materials to any specified size.

These cast square bars are manufactured to actual dimensions without machining allowances. The final machining allowance depends on its aspect ratio. Milling can be performed to improve accuracy if needed. The standard length is 72 inches, but other lengths up to 144 inches are also available, and offer custom services.

Our company maintains a large inventory of ductile iron rectangular bars to meet various application needs. This material conforms to ASTM A536 standards and is available in the following grades:

Grade 1.65-45-12 ductile iron consists of a ferritic matrix with a small amount of pearlite, containing ductile iron. The ferritic structure endows it with excellent machinability and good surface finish, as well as optimal impact strength, fatigue performance, electrical conductivity, and high magnetic permeability. The tensile strength and yield strength of this cast iron in the rolled state are approximately the same as AISI 1020 steel.

2. Grade 80-55-06 ductile iron consists of a ferrite and pearlite matrix containing ductile iron. Compared to ferritic ductile iron, the pearlite-ferrite structure offers higher wear resistance and strength. This material is easy to machine and has a good surface finish. The tensile strength and yield strength in the rolled state are similar to AISI 1040 steel.

3. Grade 100-70-03 ductile iron consists of a pearlite matrix and a small amount of ferrite containing ductile iron. It is available in a variety of sizes and shapes and is often used as a substitute for ordinary carbon steel. Its machinability is similar to that of carbon steel.
